Starting a ceramic handprint impressions business is a low startup cost home business for these reasons.

• Minimal equipment required. The tools you will need are relatively inexpensive compared to many other business. You will need a kiln, which can be a larger investment, but there are affordable options for beginners. Or, you can use a shared studio or you can rent kiln space from a collage, or art school, sometimes even a high school. Other tools include clay, mold, glaze, brushes, etc. These other tools are very affordable and once purchased will be used again and again and again.
• Home Based Set Up. You can run the business from a home, eliminating the need for expensive commercial rent, utilities and other overhead costs. A dedicated workspace in a garage, basement, or a small room is sufficient to start creating and taking orders. You can even work off of your kitchen table. (I did all the time)

I have been asked, why I do what I do, why I created my own Ceramic Handprint Business and why I create a training program.

 My answer has evolved over time. When I started my little ceramic hand and foot impressions business, to be completely honest, I started because I could see the potential with the money I could make. Clay is pretty inexpensive, overhead low because I would be working from home and I knew I could figure it out.

I saw that I could easily make about $500 a week, working part time. I was good with that! (Although I ended up making more than that. :)) But I am not going to lie that the money I could make was a big part of my decision to start this business.

Once I started to grow my business I realized it was SO MUCH MORE than the money I could make.

As with everything in life it is always about more than the money.

Thankfully for me I realized that sooner than later and I was able to see that what I was building and nurturing had meaning and was important. Once...

2017....Bring it ON!

How many years have you spent sitting down on New Year's Eve or New Year's Day and written a list of your new year goals??? 

If you are like me...every year, right?!

Well, of course I still want to lose weight, make more money, improve my relationships, go on a nice vacation, read more etc. All those goals are in check and being worked on but...

This year I am making two changes that will give me more time for all of these things (above list) to manifest into my life; I am not keeping my phone by my bed during the night and I am getting up and out of bed at the same time (earlier) everyday (with the exception of a few weekend days here and there.)

I love my phone. It keeps me connected and it keeps me entertained. It makes it so I can escape for hours at a time, if I let myself. Sometimes, that is okay, everyday and night (into the wee hours of the mornings too) is not okay.
